People who attack and rob the ships in the middle of the seas and oceans are referred to as Pirates.
Pirates are sea dacoits who mostly come in groups and travel in the sea in big ships.
They attack the passengers of the fellow ships snatching money and valuables from them and even killing them if required.
It is because of the Pirates that common people used to feel scared travelling in the sea.
