I would have warned the people of the danger of partition, particularly when the division of the country is made not by the concerned party but by the veted interest, i.e. the British govt.

I would have reminded the people of the American civil war, that they preferred civil war over partition and they are now the only superpower in the world.

I would have explained to the people that the partition is a conspiracy of Britain to weaken India so that it could not prevent the UK-US combine from exploiting the Arab oil.

I would have explained to the people that the partition of such a big country can never be completed to the full satisfaction of both the party.

And imperfect partition will bring much more animosities and violence than the pre -partition violence .

So we should not renegade to violence and should never accept partition.thanks.
