We should not do any harm to it.And we should slowly move away from there making no disturbance to it.Then it won't do anything to us.

if you discover a snake, do not approach it closely
If the snake is only about a meter away, freeze at first and see the snakes reaction - it will likely look for an escape route. If it is cornered, back away slowly.
if you got biten by it first remember the colour
and patches on it
