Answer:

Stay as close to your normal routine as possible. Get up early as you normally would when going to work. If you are able to work from home, start working the same time you would pre-lockdown. Shower and get dressed before starting to work – don't work in your pyjamas (as great as that may sound!)

Ways To Stay Motivated During Lockdown

Answer:

Keep A Routine

Stay as close to your normal routine as possible. Get up early as you normally would when going to work. If you are able to work from home, start working the same time you would pre-lockdown. Shower and get dressed before starting to work – don’t work in your pyjamas (as great as that may sound!). Stick to your normal exercise routine. If you would usually exercise before work, keep to that. Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same times you usually do.

Get Some Fresh Air

Yes, we’ve been told to stay inside as much as possible, but fresh air and sunshine is really, really important in maintaining your health – physical as well as mental. Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin, and is essential to the functioning of the immune system. Spending time outdoors also helps alleviate stress. So if you have a garden or patio/balcony, make sure to spend some time in that space. Do some gardening, exercise or even read a book outside. If you don’t have an outside space, make sure to open doors and windows and make the most of the sun shining through your window.

Stay Connected To Family And Friends.

Humans are social beings and we need to be around others; in this time of lockdown, it’s more important than ever to stay connected to each other. Some people may be on their own and may need your support. Others might just be wanting to connect with family and friends. But what about the whole ‘social distancing’ thing? Well, with today’s technology it’s a lot easier to stay connected even when you’re separated: there’s WhatsApp Calling, Skype, Zoom and many other apps that we can use to call or video call each other. And now we have more time to do so, so pick up that phone and call your parents, siblings and that friend that you haven’t spoken to in a while!

Be Positive

We don’t know what the future holds, nor can we control it; but we can control what we do today. So stay positive. Focus on what you need to do today if you’re working from home. If you aren’t able to work from home, plan what you want to do today and enjoy doing it, whether it’s sorting out a cupboard, listening to music or keeping up with your fitness-from-home routine. It’s also very important to focus on your dreams. During this lockdown you have the time to plan your next step along your career path – or that next vacation. There is always light at the end of the tunnel!
