"Hello! How are you?" is said in French in two ways----

1) Formally...
"Bonjour! Comment allez-vous?"

2) Informally....
"Salut! Comment vas-tu?"

Both mean the same but first one is said formally while the other one is said informally. You can use any one of the two according to your preference.
