Here's ur answer :

Given: Mol. Wt. of CO2 = 44

Volume of NH3 = 5.6L

Mol. Wt. of NH3 = 17

Wt. of CO2 = ?

We have,

no. of moles of NH3 = Volume /22.4

= 5.6/22.4 = 0.25 mol

Wt. of NH3 = 0.25*17 = 4.25g

1 mole of CO2 = 44g

1 mole of NH3 = 17g

»» moles of CO2 /moles of NH3 = 44/17

»» moles of CO2/0.25 = 2.59

»» moles of CO2 = 2.59*0.25

»» moles of CO2 = 0.65 mol

.°. Wt. of CO2 = no. of moles * mol. Wt.

.°. Wt . of CO2 = 0.65*44

.°. Wt. of CO2 = 28.6g

Hence, the weight of CO2 is 28.6g.

Hope it helps
