______________________

First of all find out moles of Calcium

Moles =mass/molar mass

Molar mass of Calcium is 40g/mol

Moles =40/40

Moles of calcium = 1 mol

Now

Balanced equation is

Ca + 1/2 O --------> CaO

it means one mole Ca reacts with 1/2mole of Oxygen

So now we havebto find out mass of oxygen

Moles of oxygen that reacts with calcium = mass / molar mass

Mass of oxygen that reacts with calcium = Moles × molar mass

Mass of oxygen that reacts with calcium = 1/2 × 16

Mass of oxygen that reacts with calcium =8g
