Hey friend!!
The conflict between east India company and Bengal nawabs started when the nawabs refused to grant the company consessions and demanded high tributes for the company's right to trade. The nawabs also denied the company any rights to mint coins and stopped it to extend its fortifications.
The Bengal nawabs claimed that the company was depriving the Bengal government of huge revenue and undermining the authority of nawabs and disrespecting them.
The company also had its grievances against the nawabs. It felt that the demand of the nawabs were unfair and that their trade could flourish only if their duties were removed. The company wanted to enlarge its fortifications and build forts.
And this led to conflicts between Bengal nawabs and the east India company.

Hope it helps!!
