After Griffin escaped from Kemp’s house just before the arrival of the police, elaborate plans were made to catch him. Dr. Kemp suggested many ideas to Adye to catch the dangerous scientist. He advised him to set all resources and police force to catch him. He suggested that trains, roads, and ships should be watched; extra policemen should be put on duty; all food should be kept out of the invisible man’s reach and he should be relentlessly hunted.

Kemp also advised Adye to use dogs to find the invisible scientist; and strew powdered glass on roads to injure Griffin to nab him easily.
