I) People of Bastar believe that the land is given to them by earth, so they look after earth by making some offerings.
II) They show respect to the spirit of earth, land, mountains and rivers
III) Each village knows where it's boundary lies. The local people from a village to look after their boundaries.
IV) Some villages also protect their forests by engaging watchman and each household contributes some food grains to pay them.
V) If people from a village want to take some wood from another village, then they have to make som payments to another village called devsari, dand or man in exchange.
