the Indian sepoys were poorly paid as compared to there British counterparts .They were maid to travel overseas without any additional bhatta. Further the British did not consider the fillings of Indian sepoys and forced them to remove turns ,castes, shave beard etc. This was considered as an attempt to defy their religion by the Indians.
