Battle of Buxar:(1764)This battle was fought between the Nawab of Audh and Emperor Shah Alam and East India Company at Buxar(Behar).The main reason was that they had taken up the cause of Mir Qasim,the deposed Nawab ob of Bengal.Their combined forces were defeated by Major Munro.This battle completed the work of Plassey (1775) and ensured continued British supremacy in Bengal,Bihar and Orissa
