The changes introduced in the cricket in the 19 century were:
1. Earlier bowling was done underarm but after wards the bowling pattern cahnges to over arm.
2. This change in bowling pattern led to the change in the shape of the bat. The shape of bats changed from curved to straight.
3. Third stump was introduced.
4. The invention of vulcanised rubber led to the discovery of protective pads and gloves .
