#1. On 13th April 1919,a public meeting was organised at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar toprotest against the arrest of national leaders.
#2. Many villagers also had come to attend the annual Baisakhi fair.
#3. General Dyer reached the meeting place along with British troops .He ordered the troops to fire. The firing lasted for 10minutes.
#4. More than 1000 people were killed and many were wounded.
