A curved or shaped covering for covering the head is a hat.It can be worn as a fashion accessory ,for protection from heat...etc which are worn by many.
A turban is man's headdress which is also a covering for the head that has a long cloth which is wound around the head, covering the hair fully.Turbans are worn by especially Sikhs.
