Explanation:
During the Non-cooperation movement, Civil Disobedience Movement and Quit India movement, mainly India got freedom but partially not officially.
Further Muslim League demanded independent respective states in eastern and north-western parts of India for Muslims.
The events that led to partition are:
- During the election of provision, Muslims were officially declared a minority and they believed that this would happen to them, because of the majority made by the Hindus.
- During the period of 1920 and 1930s, both Hindus and Muslims had disputes and a lot of differences which caused a lot of fights between them.
- The main reason which made Muslims want an independent nation was that they demanded to form an alliance with Congress, but this proposal was rejected which made the partition give a spark.
