❇ He wrote 'Two Treatises of government'.
❇ In this book, he sought to refute the doctrine of the divine and absolute right of the monarch.
▶Jean Jacques Rousseau:-
❇ He wrote the book 'The Social Contract'.
❇ In this book, he said the form of government should be based on a contract between people and representatives.
▶Montesquieu:-
❇ He wrote the book 'The Spirit of Laws'.
❇ In this book, he proposed a division of power within the government between the legislative the executive and the judiciary.
▶All the above philosophers gave the idea of democracy to be introduced in France by removing Monarchy.
