From the start to the end, Sher Singh's journey was full of difficulties. First of all, he had to travel at least fifty miles through the jungle while carrying his heavy brother. His journey through the jungle was a frightening experience for him. First of all, he found a cobra in his way, which slowly swayed away. Then as he moved further, the journey became more difficult as the weight of his brother was too much for him. When he reached the first river, he decided to take rest under a tree and there, the elephants gathered around him. At that moment, he could neither shout nor run or climb. But soon, the herd disappeared and stepped into the river after picking up his brother with great difficulty. The river was very cold as the snow water was already coming down but he managed to cross it. As he reached near the second river, the bridge he was expecting to find had submerged. So gathered some grass to plait them into a rope and the grass was sharp enough to cut his hand. Then he tied this rope round his brother and himself to keep them together and then entered the water just above the bridge. The river had seized him but with great difficulty, he managed to move forward bit by bit by holding on to whatever he could. He, with great difficulty, managed to keep his brother's head above water. At last, he finally crossed the river with bruises all over his body and then, managed to admit his brother in the hospital and save his life.
