Though India producer of iron and steel industry in the world we are not able to in our maximum potential.So the problems leading for iron and steel industry are as follows:
1.) High cost and limited availability of coking coal: As the amount of coking coal is limited, its cost in India is very high and this is making difficulty for iron and steel industry to buy it.
2.) Low productivity of labour: the labours are less productive.
3.)Irregular supply of energy: the supply of electricity is sometimes not proper.
4.)Poor infrastructure: their is less technological development in India compared to other countries.
5.) Their is need to allocate resources for research and development to produce steel more competitively to raise their standards to meet at international levels.
