if they take loan from the peasents they dont have enough money to repay it so they were in the position of death

They were not have their own land or very small land. Due to this they can't manage 2 times meal too. So they also have to do work small works for example spraying weedicides on a land of a large farmer. And also when they try to take loan from a large farmer, they get it at a very high rate of interest. Due to this they are not able to pay it and go to jail. These difficulties are faced by small farmers.
