the following are the difficulties were involved in the isolation of fluorine is
oxidation is not possible
second it can not prepared by electrolysis of HF
third HF bond is considerable is strong due to small Bond length and high polarities

Hey dear,
● Difficulties faced in preparation of fluorine -
1) Elemental fluorine is very rare in atmosphere.
2) Fluorine exist as fluorides in its minerals.
3) Oxidation of fluorine is not possible.
4) It can't be obtained from hydrogen fluoride as H-F bond is very strong.
5) Being very reactive, it reacts with apparatus used in preparation.
# Dennis method for preparation of chlorine -
Molten anhydrous potassium hydrogen fluoride is electrolysed at 523 K. Here, F2 is liberated at anode & H2 is liberated at cathode.
2KHF2 --> 2K + H2 + 2F2
Thanks dear for the question.
