Third Carnatic War (1758–1763)

The peace between the French and the English in India turned out to be fleeting. In 1756 there softened out Seven Years War up Europe and a little while later the two countries started to battle in India moreover.

The French govt sent an intense armed force under the charge of Count de Lally to battle the British in India. He caught Fort St George and chose to assault Madras. Yet, he bombed in his endeavor. He was compelled to resign to Pondicherry and was crushed by Sir Eyre Coote in the skirmish of Wandiwash in 1760.This fight fixed the destiny of the French.Bussy was taken prisoner.Mahi and Jinji were lost by the French with hardly a pause in between. The French lost every one of their belonging in India. The war finished in 1763 with the marking of the Treaty of Paris.

The third Anglo-French clash turned out to be definitive. The French industrial facilities in India were reestablished yet they could never again be strengthened or even garrisoned with troops. They could serve just as focuses of exchange and now the French lived in India under British insurance. The English led the Indian ocean. Liberated of every single European opponent they could now set about the errand of overcoming India.
