Answer:

Limitation of Newland Law of Ocyaves

Explanation:

1. It was found that the Law of Octaves was applicable only upto calcium as after calcium every element did not possess properties similar to that of the first.

2. It was assumed by Newland that only 56 elements existed in nature and no more elements would be discovered in the future. But , later on, several new elements were discovered, whose properties did not fit I to the Law of Octaves.

Answer:

See below

Explanation:

1) Newlands Law Of Octaves was applicable only upto calcium, as after Calcium every eighth element did not possess properties similar to that of the first.

2) It was assumed by Newlands that only 56 elements existed in nature and no more elements were discovered in the future. But, later on, several new elements were discovered, whose properties did not fit into the Law Of Octaves.

3) In order to fit newly discovered elements, he adjusted some unlike elements under same note (slot).

4) Newlands Law of Octaves worked well with lighter elements only i.e. maybe upto calcium.

5) Also, with the discovery of noble gases (rare gases or inert gases), the Law Of Octaves became irrelevant.
