Answer:

The increase in demand could come from changing tastes and fashions, incomes, price changes in complementary and substitute goods, market expectations, and number of buyers. This would cause the entire demand curve to shift changing the equilibrium price and quantity.

Large-print (also large-type or large-font) refers to the formatting of a book or other text document in which the typeface (or font), and sometimes the medium, are considerably larger than usual, to accommodate people who have poor vision. Often public special-needs libraries will stock large-print versions of books, along with versions written in Braille.

The standard font size for large print is at least 18 points in size, but different sizes are made to suit different visual needs.

  • The most logical explanation of increasing demand of book is increase in income hence spending capacity.
  • Books are generally comes under non essential luxury items. So people can’t buy them without having some extra money to spare after maintaining all the basic need.
  • Though there are many other alternatives like borrowing from library, use digital library like Kindle, Kobo etc but the demand for a paperback or hardcover edition is always there.
  • Large number of books is printed in “build to order” business model.
  • But there is another book printing option which is “Print on Demand”, which is small scale one.
