hello there ,
Reasons behind the formation of Weimar republic:
1.The public sentiments turned against the government in Germany post 1918. The Kaiser, in desperation bid to hang onto power, appointed Prince max of Baden as Chancellor
2.In November, a revolution broke out, the kaiser escaped to Holland and abdicated, and prince Max resigned.
3.Friedrich Ebert, leader of the left wing Social Democrat party, completely democratic one ver to take place in Germany.
4.The Social Democratic emerged as largest single party and Ebert became the first President of the democratic republic.
5.By the end of 1919, a new constitution came into existence by the Assembly at Weimar, hence named as Weimar republic.
hope it help !! :)

The main reason for the Birth of “Weimer republic” was the horrible defeat of Germany and Austria by its opponents composed of Russia, England, France, and the USA in World War I held from “1914 to 1918”.
As the war was lost by Germany, they were made to sign in all the papers shown in front of them by the allied powers. The citizens of Germany chased the emperor out of the city and were demanding a change in democracy in which liberty was stressed.
As a result of which the Weimer Republic was formed in Germany and it existed form 1919 till 1933.
