Upanishads have been developed to make mankind realize how powerful, infinte and divine they are. Upanishads take out all the superstitions prevalent in our society. In upanishads god is mentioned as omniscient and omnipresent. There is no mention of a particular god or goddesses in it. Upanishads says man has abundant power lieing inside him, he has to evoke his inner self in order to realize what he is truly capable of.
