Adding non aligned policy in foreign policy
● Change in export products : Before Independence, India used to export only raw materials and agricultural products but now India exports various types of finished goods too.
● Increase in number of Ports : Before Independence, Binbay, Calcutta and Madras were the only major ports but now India has developed three more ports namely, Vishakhapatnam, Cochin and Kandla. Thus, the overbusy ports is no more a problem.
● Foreign Trade : In order to maintain foreign trade, Government of India has setup many corporations like State Trading Corporations, Minerals and Metal Trading Corporations, etc.
● Change in Imports : Prior to Independence, India used to import mostly finished products, clotges, medicine, steel, etc., but after Independence India now mainly imports petroleum, fertilizers, oilseeds, raw material, etc.
