what were the major social and religious causes of tbe revolt of 1857 ?Do you think these factors still have some relevancy ? Give your opinion.

British considering themselves as superior were forcing people to turn and opt Christianity as their relegion, over their own relegion. and social reason was that British introduced their social reforms like Doctrine of Lapse which amde people doubt their intention. Yes, these factors still do have relevancy.
