POLITICAL: after ww2 nazism was dismissed in Germany.  Totalitarianism is no longer supported and celebrated. Weimar Republic then comes into place

ECONOMIC: Not only did Germany, other countries involved in WW2 such as European countries suffered economically. Totalitarianism cannot afford the German's living, since the Nazi Party targeted at invading other countries and did not bring any concrete economic development to Germany.
