The method of collection was very rigid. The peasant had to even pay the taxes when his crops were destroyed. The peasant became landless if he failed to pay the taxes. There was no improvement in the land as the peasant was very poor.
Due to poverty, many regions were deserted b the peasant as they fled to find other jobs.
