There were many-
1- Louis XVI was an ineffective ruler.
2-There was a lot of burden on the 3rd estate.Only they had to pay all the taxes.
3-There was subsistence crisis.
4-Philosophers and writers gave many ideas to the people.
5-People were not able to express their views or were not allowed to go against the government.
