After Mahmud of Ghazni invaded India several times and looted India. He captured many capitals but he did not want to conquer them. He took back all the vast riches to his capital and improvized his capital. Mahmud of Ghazni’s biggest invasion was that of the Somnath temple. It was Mohammed Ghori, after a century, who established Muslim rule in India.
