the Weimar republic has some inherited defects it could not cope up with the stresses of running the country with completely on short term loans largely from the USA. and the another one was the liberal use of article 48 which can impose emergency and it made it vulnerable to dictatorship. indeed democracy was a fragile idea which could not cope up with the instabilities of interwar Europe.
