  • Perimeter 2(l
  •  2(l + b) \\  \\520 = 2(l + 70) \\ 520 \div 2 = l + 70 \\ 260 = l + 70 \\ l = 260 - 70 \\  = 190

Question:-

What what will be the length of a rectangular Park which is 70 M wide and has a perimeter 520 m

Given:-

Breadth(wide)of rectangular park=70m

Perimeter of rectangular park=520m

To find:-

Length of rectangular park

\huge\mathfrak\pink{Solution:-}

Length=?

Breadth=70m

Perimeter=520m

As we know perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)

On plugging values we get

520m = 2(l +  70m)

 \frac{520m}{2} = l + 70m

260m = l + 70m

260m - 70m  = l

 = 190m = l

Therefore length of rectangular park is 190m

Verification:-

As we know perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)

on plugging values we get,

=2(190m+70m)

 = 2(260m)

=520m

Hence verified!!
