What where the motives of France and Britain during the treaty of Versailles

the motive was to acquire the coal mines (saar)of germany
second they wanted that germany should not be able to wage another war

In the treaty of Versailles, it was mentioned that Deautschland or Germany will not be allowed to build arms and ammunition and they would have to pay the allies for the destruction caused during the First world war.

And Briton and France would be using their dial mines and other mines in Germany for making profit and capital.
