Answer:

a \:  =  \:  \frac{v - fv}{t}

a \:  =  \:  \frac{80  - 60}{5}

a \:  =  \:  \frac{20}{5}

4 \: km \: per \: sec \: is \: the \: acceleration

Given :-

  • Initial Velocity(u) = 80km/hr

  • Final Velocity(v) = 60km/hr

  • Time Taken(t) = 5sec = \dfrac{5}{3600}hr

To Find :-

  • Acceleration

Answer :-

  • 14400m/s²

Concept Used :-

\huge\bf{ \underline{ \boxed{a\:=\:\dfrac{v-u}{t}}}}

Solution :-

\sf{a\:=\:\dfrac{v-u}{t}}

\sf{a\:=\:\dfrac{60-80}{\dfrac{5}{3600}}}

\sf{a\:=\:\dfrac{-20\times3600}{5}}

\sf{a\:=\:\dfrac{-20\times\cancel{3600}}{5}}

\sf{a\:=\:-20\times720}

\sf{a\:=\:-14400m/\ s^{2}}

\huge\bf{ \underline{ \underline{It \:is\: negative}}}
