Step-by-step explanation:

let the given zeroes be x and y

according to problem,

x × y = (-3)

x + y = 2 ....... eq.(1)

we know that (x-y)^2 = (x+y)^2 - 4xy

=} here,

(x-y)^2 = (2)^2-4(-3)

= 4 + 12

= 16

=} x-y = 16

x-y = 4 ......... eq(2)

eq (1) + eq (2)

=} 2x = 6

=} x = 3

by substituting x in eq(1)

=} 3+y = 2

=} y = (-1)

therefore , the zeroes are 3 ,(-1)

=} The equation in terms of k is

(k-3)(k+1)

= k^2 + k - 3k - 3

= k^2 -2k - 3

therefore, the equation is k^2 - 2k - 3

I hope it helps you
