Given that,

  • Two different masses = m1 & m2
  • Distance between the two masses = 3d.
  • The force of gravity between them = ?

According to the universal law of gravitation we get,

  • F = G m1m2 / d^2

Substituting the value of d in the above equation we get,

  • F = G m1m2 / (3d)^2
  • F = G m1m2 / 9d^2
  • F = 1/9 G m1m2 / d^2.
