what will be the change in acceleration of a sliding block if its mass is doubled while a constant force is acting on it

we know  

F = ma  

If m = 1 kg and,

  a  = 1 m/s²

Force is said to be 1N  

But if mass is doubled as 2 kg  

The acceleration (a) = F/m = 1/2  

The acceleration will be got reduced to half
