what will be the change in the area of rectangle if length and breadth are thrice

lets assume that

length=2cm

breadth=2cm

are=l*b=2*2=4cm sq

now the l and b will get thrice

length=6 cm

breadth=6 cm

area=6*6=36 cm sq

from this we conclude that the area we get 9 times
