given area = 40 m^2

length = 2× breadth

since , we know that area of rectangle

=length × breadth = 40 m^2

2× breadth × breadth = 40 m^2

( breadth)^2 = 40 /2 = 20

breadth = √20 = √( 2×2×5 ) =2 √5 m

since , length = 2 × breadth

therefore , length = 2 × 2 √5 = 4√5 m

required wire for rectangular compound

=2 ( length + breadth )

=2 ( 4√5 + 2√5 ) =2 × 6√5 =12 √5 m

12 × 2.23 = 26.8 m

cost of 1 m wire = Rs 20

cost of 26.8 m wire
