These turbines are attached to a gear box, which is connected to an electrical generator. This produces the electricity that is carried by cable to shore. Once it's plugged into an electrical grid, the electricity can be distributed

Answer: Tidal turbines are one of the latest in technology that is placed on the bed of the sea or the river and moves with the tidal waves.

The turbine thereafter moves the dynamo or the generator to produce electricity.

The turbines rotate due to the flow speed of the water and ultimately rotate the generator that produces electricity creating a magnetic field.
