hello mate ur ans is .. :
resistance of 3 ohm and 6 ohm are connected in series
so,
Rs1 = 3 ohm + 6 ohm = 9ohm ......
and resistance of 5 ohm and 10 ohm are in series so ...
Rs2 = 5 ohm + 10 ohm = 15 ohm .....
now Rs1 ,Rs2 and resistance of 4 ohm are in parallel connection ...
so ..
1/Rp1 = 1/Rs1 + 1/Rs2 + 1/4
= 1/9+ 1/15 + 1/4
1/Rp1= 231 / 540
Rp1 = 540 / 231
Rp1 = 0.42 ohm
therefore Rp1 is 0.42 ohm ....
now Rp1 resistance of 1 ohm and 2 ohm are in series ..
so equivalent resistance between a and b is ....
total R = Rp1 + 1 ohm + 2 ohm
= 0.42 + 1 + 2
= 3.42 ohm
since total resistance is 3.42 ohm ...
