In India, it is 50hz that is it changes its polarity 50 times in a second…. Alternating current (AC) flows half the time in one direction and half the time in the other, changing its polarity 100 -120 times per second. Frequency of AC current in India and UK is 50hz where as in Us it's 60hz.
