Bengaluru,29th September,2017: The Government of Karnataka today unveiled its plans of charting an ambitious long term development roadmap for the State for the next seven years. The document titled, Nava Karnataka 2025 (Vision 2025),is an unique endeavour to capture the expectations of every stakeholder in the State’s development blueprint, most importantly the State’s citizenry across the social spectrum. The idea underlying this exercise came from the growing realization that the citizen of today and the near future is highly engaged and aware, someone who is keenly interested in participating in the process in order to contribute to the State’s progressThe Vision 2025 Document is intended to provide a governance strategy for Karnataka over the next seven years. Its scope is simultaneously broad based and specific. It aims to provide a way forward for Karnataka in the short and medium terms and is intended to serve as a bridge between different sectors and diverse interests. It shall endeavour to speak to every constituent and answer the question, “what’s in it for me?”, a principle which will drive its context and substance.
