What will be the measure ( in cm ) of the side parallel to BC of a Parallelogram ABCD, if BC=x cm, CD=(x+3)cm and AB + AD= 9cm.

Answer:

ABCD is a parallelogram

Opposite sides of parallelogram are equal .

AB=CD =x+3 and AD=BC=x

AB+CD=9(Given)

2x+6=9

2x=9-6=3

x=3/2

x=1.5cm

Therefore AD=1.5Cm .
