The length of rectangle of wire=40cm

The Breadth of rectangle of wire=22cm

Total length of wire=2(l+b)

                                =2(40+22)

=2(62)

=124cm

Now perimeter of rectangle will be equal to square,

then Perimeter of square=124cm

let the side of square be 'a'

then,,

4a=124cm

a=31ccm

Area of square=31*31

=961sq.cm

Area o rectangle=40*22

=880sq.cm

hence square will cover more area.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

length=40cm

breadth=22cm

area of the rectangle=l*b =40*22=880cm square

area of square= s*s =40*22=880cm square

::::::::::::::::: Therefore both enclose the same area
