Answer:

Let the height of the triangle be : 10 cm

∆ABC is a traingle.

Base be : 5 cm

We know,

Area of triangle : 1/2 × base × perpendicular height

Hence,

1/2 × 5 × 10 = 25 cm² (Area of the first triangle).

According to user's doubt,

If the sides are doubled, was percent of area would be increased?

2nd Answer:-

Second Triangle:

New height : 10 × 2 = 20 cm

New base : 5 × 2 = 10 cm

Hence,

New area = 1/2 × 10 × 20 = 100 cm²

Hence, difference between the first area and the second one = 100 - 25 cm² = 75 cm²

Now, finding the increased percentage:

75/25 × 100% = 75 × 4% = 300%

REQUIRED ANSWER:

If the sides of a triangle are doubled, the area increases by 300%.

1/2 × 5 × 10 = 25 cm² (Area of the first triangle).

go to user doubt,

2nd Answer:-

Second Triangle:

New height : 10 × 2 = 20 cm

New base : 5 × 2 = 10 cm

Hence,

New area = 1/2 × 10 × 20 = 100 cm²

Hence, difference between the first area and the second one = 100 - 25 cm² = 75 cm²

here, finding the increased percentage:

75/25 × 100% = 75 × 4% = 300%
