Given:-

  • Base radius of cylinder = 4cm
  • Height of cylinder = 10cm

To find:-

  • Total surface area of cylinder.

Solution :-

 \sf \implies \: total \: surface \: area \:  = 2 \pi  \: r(r + h) \\ \sf  = 2  \times \frac{22}{7}  \times 4(4 + 10)cm \\ \sf  =  \frac{44}{7}  \times 4(14)cm \\   \sf \: =  \frac{44}{7}  \times 56cm \\  \sf \:  = 532cm \ {}^{2}

∴ Total surface area of cylinder is 532cm^2.

Extra info:-

• Volume of cylinder = πr^2h

• Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

Question :-

what will be the total surface area of the cylinder if the base radius is 4 cm and the height is 10 cm ?

Solution :-

Given that

  • base radius of the cylinder is 4 cm .
  • height of the cylinder is 10 cm .

what we have to find here ?

=> we have to find the total surface area of the cylinder

how to find it ?

=> we can find it simply by putting the formula of total surface area of the cylinder .

Formula to be used ;

2πr(r+h)

substituting the values ;

=> 2πr(r+h)

=> 2×22/7×4(4+10)cm

=>2×22/7×4(14)cm

=> 44/7×56 cm

=> 532 cm ^2

Hence ,

the total surface area of the cylinder is 532 CM square .
