The velocity of the particle is c√3/2

Given:

Rest mass is m₀and kinetic energy is twice the rest mass.

To Find:

Velocity and momentum of the particle.

Solution:

Relative mass-energy =  m₀C²

Relative Kinetic energy = (m- m₀)C²

∴ m =  m₀/√1-v²-c²

(m- m₀)C² = m₀C²

m₀C²/√1-v²-c² = 2m₀C²

1/2 = √1- v²/c²

v²/c² = 1-1/4 = 3/4

v² = c²×3/4

v=c√3/2
